Perfekt Order, the first book in S.T. Bende's Ære Saga, tells us the story of Mia, a fresh-faced 17-year-old who has just driven across country to start her freshman year of college. If you've read the blurb for the book, you have seen that Mia has a life plan, which doesn't include bumping into the God of War or finding out that all those Norse mythologies are actually true.Two things are very apparent in Perfekt Order: One, S.T. Bende's writing has continued to grow. The book is well written and finely detailed. The story flows smoothly. Her writing is intelligent; I loved her word choices, and it was very easy to see that each word was chosen with precision. Two, it is obvious that S.T. Bende has done quite a bit of research into all aspects of the Norse mythology, and that she has a great love for Norse mythology. Her affection shines through.
The characters are likeable, bubbly, funny, and kind. Mia cracked me up throughout the entire book; she is confident and fully realized, and capable of holding her own with those around her, but she still gets nervous every once in awhile, which makes it easy to relate to her. I loved that she never backed down from a challenge despite any trepidations she might have had. Brynn is just about the sweetest character ever written (I can't help but think she mirrors the author's personality) and she constantly made me smile. Nothing ever flustered her. Tyr is hot and protective, but I think Henrik and his nerdy intelligence stole my heart.
Overall, this is S.T. Bende's best book to date, and I can't wait to read the next installment of the series!

I picked this up on after reading this author's Elsker series (which I loved)... and I think I love this one even more, so far! I could really relate to the main character, Mia, with all her organizational OCD (LOL!) and that helped me get drawn into the world of the story. Tyr was such an intriguing character, and I loved him and Mia together two very strong individuals with amazing chemistry! I can't wait to read the continuation of their story in Perfekt Order!

Mia enjoys lists, plans, and order in her life. Tyr, God of War, has no time for a 17 year old girl when he has such serious responsibilities. When they meet at Mia’s first college party, they appear to make a connection but Mia questions the situation when Tyr seems to change his mind about her. However; fighting her attraction to him would be easier if their paths would stop crossing. Throw in a powerful enemy and chaos tries to reign.
I love how protective Tyr is of Mia and his friends. He will sacrifice himself to protect those he loves. S.T. Bende has created well developed characters who have flaws that draw the reader in and make us fall in love with them. Mia’s sassy attitude and comments had me laughing throughout the book. S.T. Bende offers just the right amount of action, order, and romance. I can’t wait for the next installment of the series.
Hot bejeebus!!! Yes, those were my thoughts, as well. One word, Tyr. I loved that character. He was just perfect in so many ways. Let me list a few hot, smart, witty, charming in his own way, loyal, and God of War. That sounds about perfect to me. Mia, the love interest, is my kind of insanely organized. Her use of lists and organizing skills had me high fiving her mentally. I live in organization and just don't get how others don't. She's my hero.
I love the stories that S.T. Bende creates. They are wrapped up in modern day meets Norse mythology. The reader gets lost in the story and doesn't want to stop reading even after the story is long over. I totally loved this new series, The Aere Saga. I want more of Tyr.
S.T. Bende never ceases to amaze me with her wonderful way of mixing Norse mythology into an exciting adventure of a story! I have been a huge fan of S.T. Bende since reading the Elsker Saga, and while this has a similar feel, it's a whole new story with unique and amazing characters that will easily find a way into your heart the instant you meet them. Ms. Bende's writing pulls you in immediately, and every scene is richly described so you feel like every scene is playing out in front of you. I never wanted this book to end because I love being in the world S.T. Bende has created so much!! While taking place in the same "world" as the Elsker Saga, this is a standalone series. You don't have to read the Elsker Saga to understand anything...but seriously, why wouldn't you want to read those awesome books??
The best part of this book is the amazing cast of characters that Ms. Bende has written. I fell in love with Mia immediately. She's spunky, sassy, and independent. Mia is so strong, and handles anything that life throws at her with a comfort that would leave others freaking out. Granted, she's a bit neurotic with all her order and OCD-ness, but that was one of her many traits that made her so relatable to me. Tyr, aka the God of War, is too hot to handle! He starts off as basically an jerk (albeit a very hot and dreamy one), but you know what's coming...you see a different side later on after he finally lets Mia in. Tyr is the ultimate protector, I mean come on...he's the God of War...but he just wants to keep everyone he loves safe. Throughout the story, I truly felt like I understood the weight he carries on his shoulders, and I just wanted to give him a hug. Together Mia and Tyr are an amazing couple. They balance each other out, and give each other strength during the rough and crazy times. Their chemistry is off the charts, and they definitely have some steamy scenes!
The supporting characters are just as amazing. Brynn had me cracking up with her crazy, upbeat personality, and Henrick was just as perfect too. Each book in this series will be about a different character, and I can't wait for their story!!
Definitely check this series (and the Elsker Saga!) right away!! S.T. Bende has crafted another amazing story with an awesome cast of characters. She incorporates Norse mythology into the story in an effortless way, and you can tell how much research and time she puts into writing her novels. I can't wait to read the next book, Perfekt Control!
